During the 2024 Spring and Summer semesters, ARPC partnered with the FSU Office of Sustainability to work with five sustainability fellows, all current FSU students, to carry out a variety of projects. The students came from a variety of educational levels, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD level students. Through this program, students gain hands-on experience and connect with professionals in the field while community partners like ARPC benefit from university resources, research, and faculty.
This partnership with the FSU Office of Sustainability has allowed ARPC to build capacity for regional projects and lean on the specific skill set and resources that each Fellow brings to the table. Recent fellowship projects have included river basin economic analysis, solar workforce research, climate vulnerability mapping, website creation, and the crafting of sustainable development goals and metrics.
